'Young Homie' became quite the hit when he performed at the opening and closing of the X-Factor USA. The finalist has not long ago signed a deal with his mentor LA Reid's label, Epic Records.
The song has obviously been watered down so it can appeal to as many people as possible. Its still a good song that has a very strong message but some of its original grit has been lost in the production.
