Oxide And Neutrino Are Back!

Music I grew up to. Ol'skool garage/dub step was the hype eleven years ago. These two guys were at a point in the game, where nobody could reach. Their music, lifestyle and even fashion was on point.

South London duo Oxide (Alex Rivers) and Neutrino (Mark Osei-Tutu) who have had hits such as 'Bound 4 Da Reloud', 'No Good For Me' and 'Up Middle Finger'. All which have reached top ten in the charts are set to come back with new music.

Will they be able to keep up with the current underground scene? Or have they lost it?

P.S. Lets all remember that Neutrino had the blond hair before any one even heard of Chris Brown.

New Label Signing - Teedra Moses/Santigold

Santigold

Jay Z's record and management label Roc Nation has signed up yet another up and coming artist and this time, it's Santigold.

The 34-year-old singer has also written songs for Christina Aguilera and has worked with the likes of Kanye West and M.I.A.

The 'Creator' singer also worked with the hip-hop honcho back in 2009 on his track 'Brooklyn We Go Hard.'

Santigold, real name Santi White, tweeted her excitement about her new record deal, saying: "It's official! Made the change to Roc Nation Management!!!"

She can now include Rihanna, Alexis Jordan and Willow Smith as some of her label mates.

Santigold will be releasing her new album later this year, following her debut 'Santogold' in 2008.

Teedra Moses

Teedra Moses is the latest addition to be signed to Maybach Music Group, which is founded by rapper Rick Ross. This was announced last night via twitter.

Teedra has released one album to date – her well received 2004 debut Complex Simplicity [featuring the catchy single 'Be Your Girl' with her long anticipated follow-up titled The Young Lioness not yet seeing the light of day.

Nonetheless, the dulcet toned singer has remained busy performing and releasing a string of four mixtapes; The Young Hustla Compilation (2004), Young Hustla Compilation Vol II: Live from the Jungle (2007), Lionhearted – Young Hustla Vol III (2008)and Royal Patience: A Love Journey (2010) – all available to download now.

She joins the likes of Wale, Pill, Meek Mill and Torch on the Maybach roster alongside its boss, Rick Ross.

There is no word yet on what Teedra Moses’ next official release will be but will Rick Ross change her for the better or worse?

Sade - Fear Of Jay-Z!

Grammy award winner Sade has allowed Jay-Z to put his stamp on her award winning album 'Soldier of Love' LP.

The singer is releasing a new hits album and Jay-Z reportedly features on a remix for her track 'Moon & the Sky', which is taken from 'Soldier of Love' and will now feature on her new LP called 'The Ultimate Collection'.

It was reported last year that Sade was "too scared" to collaborate with Jay-Z and had turned down his offer.

Despite having recording six albums, Sade has not featured any other artist, so Jay-Z will be the first star to appear as a feature on her album.

Hova always gets what he wants at the end of the day.

Lil' Kim And Rihanna!

Last month Lil'Kim declared that Rihanna is her “favorite pop artist right now,” and that she thinks the red-headed 'S&M' singer is “just phenomenal.” In fact, Kim is apparently so enthralled with Ri Ri’s music, she decided to do leak her own version of reggae-tinged Loud track 'Man Down'. Hear it below.
Kim strips out Rihanna’s verses on her own version and takes the part of the other woman on “Man Down” (i.e. the one who didn’t dothe shooting).

“I can’t imagine what I’d do if I were in her shoes / ’cause if he did this to me I’d probably kill him too,” Kim sings (with the aid of what sounds like Auto Tune).

We’d sit here wondering why she even bothered (much like Rihanna’s probably doing right now), but, then again, we’re just glad she’s doing something other than trashing Ri Ri's pal Nicki Minaj for once.

John Legend Covers Adele!

Adele is one of the youngest female artists to have come from the UK that we can be very proud of. She has easily slayed the music charts with just 2 albums, latest one being '21'. Her first single 'Rolling In The Deep' is amazing. Could her life be any more amazing than the amount of love she has been getting? By the looks of it, it sure can. Soul voiced genius, John Legend has done a cover of the young girls single. Amazing would just be an understatement. 

The Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough (Official Video)!

The Black Eyed Peas’ new video for their single “Just Can’t Get Enough”, which begins with a dedication to the people of Japan, was filmed in Tokyo one week before the earthquake and tsunami hit the country. In the clip, each of the Peas are seen experiencing various parts of Tokyo all by their lonesome. It’s basically Lost In Translation with a more thumping soundtrack. Watch the surprisingly moving video below.

Keri Hilson - One Night Stand ft. Chris Brown!

I love Keri Hilson. Talented songwriter and not a bad singer either. Watching this video, I have come to realise that she has obviously removed the 'No Boys Allowed' policy for this video which is featuring the man of the moment, Chris Brown. Miss Keri Baby meets up with Chris Brown for a late night rendezvous. And there’s nowhere more romantic for a one time fling and an impromptu dance break than a dimly lit mechanic shop. How splendid.

It shows that all her hip thrusting and gyrating in the controversial video 'The Way You Love Me', has finally come to use. After Chris Brown's recent outbursts, who would want to spend time with him in a fully packed out McDonalds let alone a dark mechanic shop.

Laughing Boy!

Its that time again where you are feeling very down and depressed. So you need cheering up. What can cheer up a soul like yours? A Talk With Timbaland And Missy Elliott!

Timbaland and Missy Elliott recorded a video for YouTube to reach out to their fans and announce their comebacks.

Missy and Timbo were looking fairly relaxed in a white room and hoodies as they revealed their upcoming collaborations and plans for the future.

Missy took over Timbaland to assert their status within the music industry and prove that their careers are not finished, she said: "When you can say you been in the game for 18 years, it's not called washed up, it's called iconic and legends."

While Timbaland revealed that he's still working on his next album, he's currently mixing Missy's project and while he's tempted to release another Missy track on Timbaland Thursdays.

You'll be pleased to know that Missy Elliot and Timbo are planning to film a video for 'Take Ur Clothes Off'' and also release the full version of 'Warped'.

Missy Elliott also dropped hints about one of Timbaland's upcoming tracks, she said: "Timb got a crazy record called ‘Break Ya Back,’. He finna change the way hip-hop is all over again. He finna switch the way hip-hop is. He did before, he gonna do it again. This is gonna be some crazy shit.”

Tinchy Stryder's 'Pe-jazzle'!

Tinchy Stryder was recently asked if he would like to follow in Plan B's footsteps and get a 'Pe-Jazzle', but the rapper says he couldn't do it.

The 'Take Me Back' rapper claims that his member would need to too many crystals for the full effect.

The confident London MC reportedly told The Mirror: "You'd need too many crystals to decorate it."

'The Only Way Is Essex' turned the UK into a frenzy when they introduced us to LA's biggest accessory, the 'Vajazzle'. Your probably thinking 'What is a Vajazzle?'.

The 'She Said' hitmaker once claimed that he was getting some serious female attention since his rise to fame, but now it looks as though he's a little worried of dating a crazy fan. You go on X-Factor to become a big musical artist, but who would of thought that while attempting to get signed, you would find love with some one who is on that same 'One Direction' path as you?

Shy but oh so pretty Rebecca Ferguson seems to have found love during the competition. It seems as  her heart was caught by One Direction member Zayn Malik(OK ladies, remember his still a kid). The couple have supposedly been dating since the beginning of The X-Factor tour, which finishes at the end of this month.

Ferguson who is 24, with 2 kids and is 6 years older than Zayn, have been trying to keep their relationship a secret. A close source said: “This relationship could damage Rebecca's career. She is seen as the devoted mother who doesn't have time for a relationship, especially with a teenager.

"And One Direction's female fans will hate the thought of having a relationship with someone older.”

Rebecca also seemed to defend their relationship in a cryptic tweet after the news broke. She wrote: “Happiness Is the outcome of accepting yourself, not seeking approval of other people but loving who you are. #liveforyou”

Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor!

Jennifer Lopez, our favourite Latina is back on our television screens. But as a judge on American Idol? Really?

I love J-Lo. We love J-Lo. Acting? YES. Dancing? YES. Singing...? She is very pretty that's for sure. The responsibility to be a judge on America's biggest talent show is obscenely huge. Why the Latina was picked, we will never know. Probably to do with more of her record sales and her entertaining buttocks. We sure well know its not for her singing.

Nevertheless, She has decided to team up with rapper, Pitbull and bring you a very auto-tuned track, 'On The Floor'. By the looks of this video, we can clearly see that there was a lot of throwing around the big dollars. From a fancy BMW to Swarovski Crystals to Crown Royal. After her very embarrassing  moment on the American Music Awards, this was a very good way to come back.

The Undisclosed Gay MC!

I don't know if you heard this but lately I've been getting calls from people asking if Ive heard of an MC that's an undercover homosexual. Now, I was just as shocked as you guys are right now. A gay grime MC? Really? Then I sat back with a bunch of friends(male and female) an discussed this situation. Some were adamant that that could not happen in this underground scene. But is that a true statement?

Understandably it is very difficult for an urban grime artist to come out and say he/she is an open homosexual but that don't mean he/she is not doing anything on the sly. And who knows who their 'doing it' with? How do we know it isn't another MC they hang around with? How many MC's do we know that hang around in pairs? It could be anyone. I myself am very interested to find out who it is. Not because I'm going to blog about it(which I will) but just to see how they and the audience deal with it.

Jessie J Got Stoned!

We all know Jessie J to be a wild and eccentric female artist(or what she portrays to be). So are we surprised that the 'Do It Like A Dude' singer got high while on tour in Amsterdam with Chris Brown?

The singer claims that she ate a 'whole hash cake' in Holland and didn't realise it had Cannabis in it. The Essex girl suffers from an irregular heart beat. Eating the 'WHOLE CAKE' she had to go to hospital after she reacted badly(its called getting high hun).

You cannot just pop into a cafe in Amsterdam, purchase what you think is 'JUST' an ordinary, run of the mill cake and expect everything to be all great. We all know very well what Amsterdam is known and famous for.

Jessie J claiming she didn't know what was in the cake? OK babe, if you say so.

Lady Gaga - Michael Jackson Inspired?

'Dont be a drag just be a queen'. Just when we thought that she couldn't come up with anything that would shock us, she took it to another level. 

'Born This Way', Lady Gaga's new video is the most talked about video as of yet. From being carried in an egg on the red carpet at the 53rd Grammy Awards to giving birth to evil. Has she lost the plot? Or is this just creativity at its best? 

There is no doubt that Lady Gaga will be remembered forever. Whether for the good or bad, were just going to have to wait and see. But she has brought back something that no one has done since Michael Jackson(RIP) was at his peak in his career. MJ did many things that left us gobsmacked during his time in the music industry. Has Gaga taken taken it too far or is she just the future female icon? What ever she maybe, she is making her mark.

'Born This Way' has lyrics that are inspiring. Such as "There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are" and "I'm beautiful in my way, Cause God makes no mistakes...". But is it acceptable to use the word God and have a video that, some may say has a relevance to 'The Illuminati?'

Selah - Can She Bring It?

Superstar Selah, who is she?  A question, maybe, many of you are asking. You may not recognise her but you sure have heard her big voice before.

2010, we all heard a track on 1Xtra called 'Woman's World' featuring Sadie Ama and Mz Bratt and it had a beautiful video to go with it. This song was the beginning of a journey that would take the star many places.

'I Want You Out My House' is a soulful-funky track featuring Donaeo. Who would of thought that this little bodied girl can sing the way she does. Strong vocals with soothing ad libs make you fall in love with her. She's a dark horse.

The video now, Donaeo could of at least got a shape up or some change of clothes. I can actually smell him through my computer screen. How hard is it to fund yourself a hair cut and a shave? I do think that Selah could be abit more fierce. The shy, timid personality is a cute thing but not for this industry. There are other female artists that cannot sing as good as Selah but have more of the entertainment factor, but that could be down to her team. Can she bring it?

I believe this artists has got what it takes to make it big. If you don't believe me then check out her 'A64 On SB.TV'. I really like her voice. That acoustic set she did is just amazing. Hopefully we will get to see more of that from her as the funky stuff does not showcase her vocal ability as much.
