Nick Cannon dedicates his verse on Miguel’s unreleased track 'On You Like Rain' to his wife Mariah Carey.
'From being my Dreamlover to you waking up next to me as my wife', he raps. 'Notorious, glorious, the way your voice spills out on us/ Now you just lookin’ like a sexy mother—/ Shh, you gon’ wake the kids up'.
The father of twins explains why he decided to jump on the unofficial remix. 'Dreams do come true. Song spoke to me, so I spoke with it. Enjoy'.
Musiq has once again brought us a song that many people can relate too. Bringing up the touching subject of breast cancer.
The R&B crooner, who is the ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Circle of Promise, stands by his girlfriend’s side through her battle with the disease in the powerful video for 'YES', the latest single off his sixth album MUSIQINTHEMAGIQ.
Providing emotional support and a shouder to lean on, Musiq takes us through a journey of love, pain and happiness with the end of the video tying the knot with his special lady whilst a group of real-life breast cancer survivors looks on.
Watch the video to 'YES' and let me know what you think.
After releasing her first single 'I'm Into You' featuring Lil'Wayne, J-Lo is back with her second single 'Papi' from her current album Love?
The sexy mami roams the streets of Los Angeles un -aware of the chaos she is causing. Eating a cookie that makes all the boys chase her, she drives in her Fiat as suitors break their necks to get a glimpse of her, jumping out of windows, leaping off buildings, and even crashing their vehicles.
The RedOne produced track was the breakdown in the 'I'm Into You' video. When I heard it, I instantly thought 'she better release a video to this and it better be good'.
An amazing and hilarious concept. Seems like the break-down of her relationship hasn't affected J-Lo in one bit. And does she look fantastic too.
Watch the video to 'Papi' and make sure you let me know what your thoughts.
The UK music scene has been taken over by so many girl groups at the moment. Different music and styles, these chicks are here to take over and show what their made of.
Here are a few female groups that I think are either good or bad. You decide and let me know who your favourites are.
RD
Troy (20), Martika (18) and MC Chronz (19) are a trio who are bringing some much-needed flavour to the urban scene. Following on from their street-heater 'Allrite Stillll' which dropped earlier this year, the girls are now back with a scorcher of a track called 'Do It Like Me' out November.
Belle Amie
After being booted of the TV show X-Factor and losing a member, these 3 have not stopped working hard. Showing the public that it was wrong to be kicked off, they dropped their single and video to 'Girls Up', which was released on iTunes in June. Do they have the x-factor that the charts need?
Duchess
Beautiful girls with vocals to die for. Shanie, Annie, Nadine and Jamie have been together for just over 2 years. 'All The Boyz' which was recorded in a day featuring MC Scorcher was released on iTunes in August but hasn't really been getting much love. Supporting Wretch32 on his tour, they seem to be doing great. Or are they?
Beauty Skool Dropouts
With just a teaser to their new video 'Mr Men', Chang, Kimmy and Sindy have been together for more than 5 years. 3 different type's of girls with their unique style's each and a very British sound, can this trio be the next Spice Girls?
Fe-Nix
These girls have been around for ages but have not seemed to kick start their career. They have been hailed as the UK's Pussycat Dolls, if that's the case then I'm surely waiting for their sex appeal to ooze. Jade, Tanya, Ayshen and Redd have released tracks such as 'Lady Baby' and 'Swagga', which have both been supported by BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Are they remotely as good as the Pussycat Dolls?
Vida
Managed by JLS's Oritse, Vida seem to have the right backing to break into the industry. But have they got the talent and charisma to dent the charts? AJ, Kat, Tanisha and Cheekz have the right energy but will it all that fire in their gut blow them up?
Its no secret that Jigga man has a major dislike towards R&B sensation Chris Brown. So Why is he upset with Kelly Rowland you ask?
The Destiny's Child singer is set to support Breezy on his North America tour for the release of his album F.A.M.E and hearing this information, Jay Z is not happy with her at all.
After Chris Brown beat up his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, Jay had wanted, not just him but anyone close to him to not be associated with Breezy, that includes Kelly who is not only Jigga mans wife Beyonce's cousin but best friend too.
Whats Breezy's past relationship and business got to do with Rowland? At the end of the day, this is business and she's doing what she needs to do. Its her decision and not Jay Z. I think Chris Brown has done enough apologising and if Rihanna has got over it, why hasn't Jigga?
Sean Paul is finally here with a banging new video to his single 'Got 2 Luv U' featuring the ever so sexy Alexis Jordan.
The video was shot at The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. The dancehall singer sexes up a female in the club, the bedroom and the car park while Alexis enjoys the glitz and glam of Sin City.
Its a club banger and the first single off his fifth album which is untitled. New hair and style, hopefully Paul will be back on our screens for a while.
'Swim Good', a cut off Frank Ocean's debut album Nostalgia, Ultra.
With a video that starts of tranquil before it turns crazy, The Odd Future crooner who has amassed an impressive resume working with Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Kanye West, stars as a sneaker-wearing samurai, mysteriously driving his Lincoln limousine along the coastline and deep into the forest.
The calm is disturbed when he whips out his sword and draws blood from his unsuspecting female victim. He sets fire to the vehicle and watches it burn on the cliff during the explosive conclusion.
Beautifully done. Watch the video and let me know your thoughts.
Who would think that Trey Songz would have haters?
With lyrics like “Whoever I Could.” “Nah, I don’t give a f**k about none of these ni**as/ No, none of these ni**as pay me/ No, I don’t give a f**k about none of these bitches/ Man, most of these bitches crazy,”. Trigga shows that he has something to be angry about before the going back to singing on a whole different beat.
'Whoever I Could' will appear on his upcoming hip-hop and R&B mixtape #Lemmeholdatbeat2 and Anticipation II, both dropping November 1.
Ashanti is back with her new ballad 'Never Too Far Away'.
A song off the soundtrack for the upcoming movie thriller Dream House starring Bond himself Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts.
The songstress is currently preparing an album and in this track sings about how she would go to the edge of the earth for her lover. Shame she didn't do that for her ex husband, rapper Nelly.
I can not stress how much I love seeing music being taken to another level and this is just an example of music breaking barriers.
Clement Marfo & The Frontline are a dynamic group that are here to show you that hip hop and rock can be lovers.
Every time I have seen this group perform, and no exaggeration, they always without fail blow my mind. Their stage presence, crowd interaction and music is just amazing. I'm actually right now stuck for words to write.
'Overtime' is featuring one of the UK's top Grime MC's, Ghetts. Just finished filming Cher Lloyd's 2nd single 'Dub On The Track' video.
This 7 piece band is making history and I am so glad to be apart of it. Watch the video to 'Overtime' and let me know your thoughts.
Its not a surprise that rumours have been circulating that Cheryl Cole is to come back on the X-Factor live shows and replace Tulisa.
Heat magazine have reported that Simon Cowell is thinking of bringing back the Geordie singer as current judge Tulisa is 'underwhelming' on the show. The panel have been OK so far but its not the same as last years show.
A source told the publication:
"The panel have been finding their feet slowly. But it's no secret that Cheryl was Simon's golden girl. If she came back, it would be a huge fanfare."
Hinting that Tulisa could be getting the boot, they added: "Of course, if they announce Cheryl was coming back, there would be immediate worries that she would be replacing someone."
Supposedly the ex Girls Aloud member is keen to come back to the show despite being booted off the US version and the UK one. A source reveals that Cheryl has been watching the show religiously, saying: "Cheryl's become obsessed with the show and the way the new panel works."
"She's even been checking the ratings to see how they compare when she was on the show. Cheryl's missing her job. And she wants to come back."
Desperate much Cole? Would the show be better without Tulisa? The big hype about Tulisa being very controversial on the show was just that, 'HYPE'. I did expect a lot more from the N-Dubz member. Known as a rebel, I thought she would of defended herself a bit more when George Gerasimou attacked her during his audition on the show.
Here is the audition of when George called Tulisa a 'scumbag'.
Do you think that Cheryl should replace Tulisa? Should Tulisa be more herself and not hold back as much?
Many girl groups and boy bands are inspired by SWV (Sisters With Voices). It isn't a surprise as these 3 ladies were at the top of their game in the 90's.
Cheryle Gamble, Tamara Johnson and founder of the band Leanne Lyons formed in 1990 as a gospel group but were signed by Teddy Riley in 1992 when he received a five track demo the girls sent to him.
SWV became one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1990s. They had a series of hits, including 'Weak', 'Right Here/Human Nature', 'I'm So Into', and 'You're The One'. The group disbanded in 1998 to pursue solo projects, and reunited in 2005. SWV is currently ranked #100 on the Top 500 Pop Artists of the Past 25 Years at the website Rock on the Net.
Following the success of their debut album It's About Time, SWV appeared on the soundtrack for the 1994 film Above The Rim. The single, 'Anything', became a Top Ten R&B hit and reached #18 on the Hot 100 in the spring of 1994. That same year, SWV released The Remixes which went gold by the end of the year. In the summer of 1995, the trio lent vocal harmonies to Blackstreet's Top 40 R&B hit 'Tonight's the Night'. In 1995, SWV recorded New Beginning, which was released in 1996 and led by the #1 R&B (and #5 Hot 100) hit 'You're The One'. The second single 'Use Your Heart' was the first ever credited to the production team The Neptunes. Also, in 1995 SWV appeared on the Waiting To Exhale: Original Soundtrack Album recording the track, 'All Night Long'.
With current bands such as Duchess, The Saturdays and Encore looking up to these ladies vocally and longevity in the music scene, no wonder SWV were amazing at their craft.
'I'm So Into You' was just one of my favourite songs these artists have released. Some of you may be too young to remember but here's the video to 'I'm So Into You'. Let me know your thoughts.
Missy Elliott is slowly coming back onto the music scene. Already featured on Katy Perry's remix of 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)' and on J.Cole's debut Cole World album and now on Disney stars Demi Lovato's 'All Night Long' which his produced by the hip hop vet's friend Timbaland.
The 19 year old told MTV News, “It’s about staying up all night long and singing it to the boythat you like, and it’s flirty and fun and it’s not too grown-up, but it’s grown-up enough,” .
Its a party track that will definitely make you shake it all about. Have a listen to it and let me know what you think.
Since his hit debut 'Let The Sunshine', UK's top producer Labrinth is back with his 2nd song 'Earthquake' featuring his good pal Tinie Tempah.
Mistajam had the pleasure of debuting the tracl on 1Xtra last night. Since then, its been getting a very good welcome.
His been in hibernation recording his album and doing promo's. Just last week he finished filming the video to 'Earthquake' and from what I've heard, its going to be major.
Listen to 'Earthquake' and let me know your thoughts.
X-Factor has been very entertaining this year with their usual silly wannabe singers and amazing one's. With an all star judging panel, the show can do no wrong.
How excited was I to hear that Rihanna would be a guest judge on the show, except its for the US X-Factor and not the UK.
After signing with Island Def Jam in 2005, Antonio 'L.A' Reid, who's a judge on the US show has asked the Barbadian singer to help him pick the contestants to mentor as the first season gets underway. Also on the show will be fellow diva Mariah Carey, who will be with Simon Cowell as a guest.
Americans do it big, and with a show like the X-Factor, I am expecting it to be over the top and exaggerated. No doubt it will be very entertaining and maybe a little bit crazy but that's what we love about the Yanks.
The US X-Factor will air its first show on September 21st with judges L.A Reid, Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and ex American Idol judge Paula Abdul.
Kelly Rowland has her game set up high, now that her cousin Queen Bey is busy with her pregnancy.
The X-Factor judge is about to film two new video's this week with one of them featuring rapper Big Sean on the track 'Lay It On Me' which will be filmed in Los Angeles.
Its said that the video will consist of several sexy outfits and the ex Destiny's Child singer riding an elephant. How fantastic does that sound?
Rowland is also scheduled to film the dance track 'Down For Whatever' which is produced by RedOne. Both video's will be directed by Sarah Chatfield who also directed Rowland's first single 'Motivation', which is on her new album Here I Am.
Along with being my favourite judge on the TV show X-Factor and getting ready for the two new video's, Kelly Rowland has been rehearsing for Chris Brown's F.A.M.E tour which will start in Toronto in a couple of days.
The 'Motivation' singer seems like she is ready to take over Bey and show us what she can do. No doubt that she will be big. I am a fan of her more so now than I ever was before and I'm excited to see what else she has in store.
Shystie kick started her mixtape You're Welcome with her new video 'I'ma Boss' featuring DVS.
Leather, bikers and a some what Keri Hilson hood chick look, the female MC is here to show why she was at the top of her game once upon a time.
Been away for a while, Shystie showed the world that not only can she still rip up a grime beat but she can also do the same to dubstep, dancehall and hip-hop.
Never lost her original fan base but now with a whole new image and style, she has gained a lot more than what she had before.
Has she got what it takes to get back her crown? I don't know but I know very well that this chick is not about to give up any time soon.
Here's the video to 'I'ma Boss'. Let me know what you think.
The beautifully talented Etta Bond performs her song 'Ask Me To Stay' on Dropout Live.
This young singer has the voice of an angel and I am in love with this song. Already featured on Wretch32's 'Forgiveness' alongside Labrinth from his debut album Black & White, Bond is making a mark in the industry.
'Ask Me To Stay' is just an acoustic but her sound is very dubstep/futuristic, something fresh and different. Bond, a very outgoing girl is here to just have fun and do what she loves.
I am very excited to see what she has in store for us, and if its anything from what I've seen this artist produce already, then were in for a bumpy ride.
Check out the video and let me know what you think.
Supposedly singer Tulisa and band mate Fazer have been keeping their relationship under wraps for over a year now and have decided to finally go public with it.
Months and months this rumour has been going around and when asked about their relationship, they both refuse to speak on the subject as they didn't want it to affect their careers. But, a source says that they will be open with it very soon.
"They've kept it a secret for so long but they can't hide it forever," an insider told Heat magazine. "People are making their own conclusions and Fazer's not discreet."
"Tulisa wants to make sure that they handle it professionally and continue not to talk about their relationship."
Tulisa is said to be worried that if she does go public with the relationship that it will affect her role as a judge on The X-Factor.
"It's tough to know what to say and do. The judges' relationships have to play second fiddle. Their personal lives can't overtake their work on the show," the source adds.
Tulisa not long ago spoke about her secret 'boyfriend' who she describes as her 'rock'.
I think its better that the pair date rather than try and find someone new who they don't really know whether they are being liked for them or their fame. Tulisa and Fazer have known each other for a very long time. I think its actually cute and to be honest, I don't think it will have much affect on their careers. I say good luck to them both.
How many people would love to sit in a packed room with Breezy just singing songs? Even though I cant sing, I sure as hell wouldn't say no that's for sure.
Doing an acoustic set of Vanessa Carlton's 'A Thousand Miles' from the hit movie White Chicks (the car scene with the big black guy) and a his hit track 'No BS', U.G.L.Y get the spot light on them.
U.G.L.Y, which stands for Underneath Greatness Lies You are an up and coming band. The foursome is comprised of members Mijo, Ethan, Braxton and Stormi Henley.
With Breezy and former Miss Teen USA Stormi leading the vocals along with a guitarists, they bring you their own very relaxed accoustic set.
Let me know what you think of Stormi Henley's vocal ability.
With his debut single 'Showgirl' as the intro, Bluey has come back harder and better with his new video to 'Coming Back'.
After not being satisfied with the 'Showgirl' video, Robinson didn't allow it to stop him coming back even stronger. Just as catchy and funky as his Labrinth produced debut single 'showgirl', it looks like this South London artist is just getting bigger and BIGGER.
A nice chilled video with a cute leading lady, Robinson is chilling with his band mates and friends and singing to his girl before he rushes off to a gig.
Simple and effective. Bluey Robinson is the only male artist at the moment that's doing major things in the industry. It is about time as we've been waiting for him to do so for a while.
'Coming Back' will be getting plenty of radio love leading up to the release which is set to be late October.
Beyonce is having a baby, Tyler, The Creator won best new comer at the VMA's and Kim Kardashian wants to get pregnant whilst on honeymoon. There is so much going on around the world to keep us entertained and busy so why is Amber Rose trying to get a piece of the pie?
The bald-headed woman's twitter has been hacked a several times. So what? You go and change your password, AGAIN.
Amber was left red faced when she saw that the hacker had been sending tweets to several music artists such as Chris Brown, Yeezy, The Game, ex-boyfriend Kanye West and current boyfriend Wiz Khalifa.
A tweet that the imposter sent from Amber's account to Chris Brown read: "I know yall know I f**ked @ChrisBrown, so what?"
Another tweet sent to ex-boyfriend Kanye suggested that they make a movie, saying: "@KanyeWest Ready 4 our New movie boo...... "Watch The Dome."
The one that really got her pee'd off was the one that was probably sent to her hubby Wiz, which said: "@RealWizKhalifa f**k you b**ch a** n**ga! Its over. U aint s**t, just like that @KanyeWest b**ch a**!"
See this is the thing, everybody gets hacked at some point but if your especially known as 'the chick that only dates the man of the hour' and 'gold-digger' than what do you expect?
I'm just like 'get over-it boo'. There is so much going on right now and twitter shouldn't be a main issue. Go play with Hurricane Irene or something.
The ever so booty-full Kim Kardashian attempted to release her single 'Jam (Turn It Up)' a while ago but it failed drastically.
The Dream penned song didn't do so well on radio and didn't ignite. The video, directed by Hip Hop's biggest music video director, Hype Williams, was filmed last year but got scrapped when the song didn't do great.
Showing off her famous assets, Kim K looks mighty beautiful in this steamy clip. Slightly coincidental that this clip leaks just after she just got married. hmmm. Kanye West also filmed some of clips in this video but will he be in the full version? I just don't know.
Here's the teaser to 'Jam (Turn It Up)'. Fella's and ladies, keep your mouths closed.
Every time I hear Lil'Mama speak, that line comes into my head. The pint-sized rapper has taken time away from being a judge on America's Best Dance Crew to bring you her brand new song 'Scrawberry' from her mixtape.
With colourful wigs and a variety of outfits, she performs in a miniature dollhouse in this video. A big fan of MC Lyte, Mama pays homage to her role model with her quick rhymes.
Song is cute but its not something that would get us excited (well it didn't get me excited any ways).
