We have been ambushed by so many urban type-lifestyle movies such as Kidulthood, Adulthood, Shank, Anuvahood and 4,3,2,1. And that's only to name a few. Can we handle another film about the 'road life'?
If you love films of this category then you will love this one. Kidulthood director Menhaj Huda has began principal photography on coming of age drama Everywhere & Nowhere, which is shooting in and around London and at Pinewood Studios.
Huda has also written the screenplay for the film, about a young British Asian man who, trapped between the hedonistic multi cultural world of London and his traditional Asian family upbringing in the suburbs, finds his identity by remixing classic Bollywood soundtracks with contemporary hip-hop.
James Floyd (The Infidel) plays the lead, alongside a supporting cast made up of Adam Deacon, Alyy Khan, Simon Webbe and newcomer Katia Winter.
The film will be the first in a number of planned collaborations between Huda and Sam Tromans’ Arena Productions, who is also executive producing Burning Man, which is shooting in Sydney with Matthew Goode and Rose Byrne.
Here's the trailer. Comment and let me know what you think.
